Car sharing is an essential part of today's smart mobility.
Almost the entire city of Vienna is a short-stay parking zone (Monday - Friday, 9am - 10pm, excluding public holidays). You need a parking ticket called 'Parkschein' (EUR 1.30 per half hour) to park your vehicle in public parking spaces. You can buy them in paper form or via app ('HANDYPARKEN'). The maximum parking duration is two hours. The parking zones are marked on this map of Vienna.

Parking with these tickets is limited to a maximum of 2 hours. If you want to park for longer, you must use one of the parking garages. The closest one is the WIPARK Votivpark-Garage in Universitätsstraße (open 24 hours, EUR 4.30 per hour).The cheapest way to park in Vienna is to use the Park & Ride stations for EUR 4.10 per day (it is recommended to be there at 6am to get a parking space).
